Much-travelled striker whose impressive scoring form for Southampton in the 2004/2005 season earned him a transfer to Liverpool and an international debut during England’s subsequent summer tour of the United States.
An exceptionally tall striker adept at linking the play, Crouch scored his first goal for his country in the March 2006 friendly win over Uruguay where his appearance as a second-half substitute helped turn the game England's way.
Crouch was in the England squad for the 1999 FIFA World Youth Championship but only played one game, coming on as a substitute against Japan in the final match.
